Kelvin Wong

Kelvin Wong was a Hong Kong film and television actor who was born in 1962 and died in 2004. Starting as early as the 1980s, he appeared in a large number of movies and later TV series. He was often cast as evil, villainous characters, becoming known as an evil character actor and frequently typecast in such roles. Though he did some work outside that style, Hong Kong film fans chiefly recognized him for it, and he never reached A-list status because most of his parts were supporting villains. Nonetheless, he acted alongside major Hong Kong stars such as Jet Li, Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan, Andy Lau, Maggie Cheung, and Anita Mui, building respectable credentials. He was renowned for powerful performances among Hong Kong villains, and his work in Casino Raiders II and the award-winning Moon Warriors (1992) earned him praise. He also worked in Taiwanese television.
