Trailer

Plot summary

Eddie Chan, an inspector in the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau, is assigned to protect Wong Yat-fei, a wealthy business magnate. Kidnappers seize Wong in a daring ambush, and Chan is assigned to track down the missing businessman. He is already carrying the emotional strain of having shot several men in self-defense. The case pairs him with Hung Ting-Bong, a veteran detective who joins the search. The trail carries Chan out of Hong Kong and across to Taiwan, where he crosses paths with powerful mobsters. The film is based on the real 1990 kidnapping of the Chinese businessman Teddy Wang.
