Plot summary
Abby works as a massage therapist and lives freely, while her brother Paul keeps to a strict routine at the family dental practice, where his daughter Jenny also helps out. Money is tight because Paul refuses to advertise for new patients. Jesse, Abby's boyfriend, asks her to move in with him, and soon afterward Abby develops a sudden disgust at the touch of skin. She takes time off from her job, and the aversion keeps her from touching Jesse or letting him touch her. Jenny invites her friend Henry to come in for a routine teeth cleaning. After Paul accidentally cures Henry's temporomandibular joint dysfunction, people begin coming to the practice for treatment.
