Plot summary
Colette Chevassu is hired as a temporary secretary at the BMW dealership Bernard Barthélémy owns in the South of France. Bernard is well-to-do and married to Florence, an exceptionally beautiful woman. Colette is plain rather than pretty, and warm-hearted, and Bernard falls in love with her. She feels the same, despite commitments of her own, and the two begin an affair. Bernard appears to have strayed before, but Florence finds this particular entanglement very difficult to accept.
