Tokyo! (2008) on Netflix

Plot summary

Three stories unfold in Tokyo. A creature from the sewers called Merde emerges from a manhole and attacks people on the streets, stealing cash and cigarettes from passers-by, frightening older women and sexually assaulting schoolgirls, until the televised coverage stirs hysteria across the city. Hiroko and Akira come from the provinces with little money and stay in their friend Akemi's cramped studio apartment while Akira prepares to screen his debut film. They search for a place of their own and find only unsuitable, expensive housing; both apply to wrap gifts at a department store, but only Akira is hired. In another part of the city, a man who has spent a decade without leaving his apartment orders a pizza every Saturday, and a delivery woman catches his eye.
