Takeshis' (2005) on Netflix

Plot summary

Beat Takeshi is a prominent actor, moving through film studios and television stations where the people around him keep turning up in more than one role: a girlfriend, a manager, a former partner from his stand-up comedy days. Mr. Kitano is a blond man who earns his living at a convenience store counter and has yet to be recognized as an actor; he appears in a clown costume in a TV station wardrobe, and he is fixated on having a face identical to Beat's. When the two meet, Kitano asks the star for his autograph and gets it. Kitano begins to fantasize himself as Beat Takeshi in daydreams, and surreal dream images start to cross into his life while he moonlights as a taxi driver.
