To Catch a Killer (2023) on Netflix

Plot summary

Baltimore welcomes the new year with fireworks, and a hidden shooter opens fire from a high-rise, killing twenty-nine people across the city before setting off explosives that wipe away his trail. Geoffrey Lammark of the FBI runs the case alongside the Baltimore police. During a briefing he hears Eleanor Falco, a local officer, dispute a colleague's claim that the gunman is merely deranged; her reasoning persuades him to bring her onto the team as his link to the department. Evidence shows the killer is disciplined and prepared: the apartment he fired from cannot be tied to him, and his rifle is older than any record the authorities hold.
