Time of Eve (2010) on Netflix

Plot summary

In a future where androids are common household appliances, Rikuo Sakisaka notices that Sammy, his family's android, comes and goes on her own. A phrase recorded in her activity log leads him and his friend Masakazu Masaki to the Time of Eve, a café whose barista, Nagi, explains its rule: humans and androids are not to be distinguished. Inside, androids remove their status rings, and the door locks for two minutes after anyone leaves so no one can be followed. Rikuo wants to understand what Sammy is doing there, while Masaki, who distrusts robots, helps him investigate. Among the regulars are the talkative Akiko, the child Chie and her guardian Shimei, and the couple Koji and Rina.
