Plot summary
Brian Newall is sixteen and lives in Oklahoma. He has gone out for his school basketball team, the Eagles, without ever making it, and serves as the water boy. His sister tapes him injuring himself and shows the video around school, and Connor, the Eagles' star, plays it for the whole school. His father takes him to an Oklahoma City Thunder game against the New Orleans Hornets, where at halftime Brian is picked to shoot a half-court shot but misses and hits Rumble. He meets Kevin Durant, who signs the ball, and the star's talent passes to Brian.
