Plot summary
In September 1915, an American organization called Near East Relief begins the first large-scale humanitarian campaign in the United States in response to the Armenian Genocide. It later becomes known as the Near East Foundation. The group is guided by the belief that ordinary citizens, acting together, have the power to save people facing great adversity. Its relief work helped save more than one million lives.
