Plot summary
Carla is seven months pregnant and already has four children by different men. She works as a cashier in Bath, England. Heather contacts her out of the blue, and they meet; the two had been best friends at school in Year 7. Heather, who has been unable to have a child with her husband, Simon, wants him killed. She tells Carla that Simon has been unfaithful and offers £50,000 for the murder. Carla negotiates the price up to £75,000. The women then discuss how the killing should be carried out, and Carla suggests making it look like a burglary gone wrong.
