The War Between Men and Women (1972) on Netflix

Plot summary

Peter Wilson is a near-sighted cartoonist and author in Manhattan who dislikes women, dogs and children and keeps away from commitment. He prefers brief physical relationships. In his eye surgeon's office he meets Terri Kozlenko, a strong-willed woman he likes immediately. He later finds out that she is divorced and has three children, Caroline, Linda and David. Terri learns from the ophthalmologist that Peter's sight is failing, which would stop his drawing. She is not looking for a relationship either. Peter lampoons women in his work, and Terri, a bookseller, knows it.
