Plot summary
Carl Lehman is a scientist at the ARC corporation, working in a secret laboratory on an advanced space suit. The suit's rage program is software that seizes a wearer's brain when attacked and makes him destroy the attacker. Alex Whyte runs the lab, and Carl challenges him over suspicious cuts to funding. Whyte has an explosion set in Carl's laboratory, and the death is passed off as an accident. Carl's pregnant wife Lauren and their daughter Catherine are told by ARC that he died. His burned body rests in a tank of fluid that maintains his brain, while the company builds him a cyborg body and calls the project Frankenstein.
