Plot summary
In 2021, Claire stops at a motel in Venus, Oregon, where Shelly Barnes works as the clerk. That night a woman knocks and asks if Tamara is home. Claire turns her away, and Pin-Up Girl, Dollface and Scarecrow take her to an underground lair and kill her. In the present, Maya, the only survivor of the Strangers, hides in a local church. Gregory arrives there to mourn Shelly, and Sheriff Rotter detains Maya. She steals his patrol car but wrecks it.
