Plot summary
In Italy, a series of murders claims people in prominent positions, and Carabinieri Colonel Dante Matucci takes on the investigation. At each crime scene a drawing of a salamander is left behind. As the body count grows, Matucci notices a pattern that the killings share. He begins to suspect a neo-fascist conspiracy is behind them, one aiming to take over the Italian government.
