Plot summary
Kevin, the assistant and best friend of Chicago baker Stacy De Novo, secretly enters her in a baking competition in the Kingdom of Belgravia a week before Christmas. Stacy travels there with Kevin and his daughter Olivia, and at the competition space meets Lady Margaret Delacourt, Duchess of Montenaro, who is engaged to Crown Prince Edward and looks exactly like her. Margaret wants time away from the spotlight and proposes they trade places for two days, before the competition and the wedding, offering to support Olivia at a Belgravia ballet program. Stacy agrees, and they coach each other in the other's life before parting. Edward, expected away on business, changes his plans to spend the two days with Margaret, and King George, sensing something, asks his butler Frank to watch Margaret.
