Plot summary

Joshua McCord is an Asian studies professor, and for the President of the United States he is the covert operative sent on the most sensitive and dangerous missions. He is not part of any intelligence agency and takes his orders from the President alone. McCord is thinking about retiring, and his daughter Que, who serves as his aide, seeks out candidates to take his place. Before he can retire, terrorists seize the First Lady, and McCord must bring her back. Que's search leads her to Deke Slater, a former Army sergeant with a temper who is serving a thirty-year sentence in a federal prison.
