Plot summary
After forty-year-old Jenna Jones is dumped by her longtime boyfriend Brian, her mother makes her leave, so she moves back to New York City and into beauty journalism. She turns to her frenemy Darcy, who takes her on at her magazine Darzine for a three-month tryout on the creative side, and Jenna's career, savings and hope of a child depend on it. One night out with friends ends in a kiss with a man fifteen years younger. The next day at work she meets him again: Eric, Darcy's son, hired as the magazine's new videographer. The two agree to say nothing about their night, and they are paired on a campaign for the magazine's subscription relaunch.
