Plot summary
Libuše is the youngest daughter of the chieftain Krok, and when he dies the tribes of the Bohemian forests choose her as their ruler. As a seer, she visits the Otherworld, the realm of the dead, and comes back with predictions and answers for those who ask. She guides her people with her two sisters, the healer Kazi and the priestess Teta, and with an army of women commanded by her best friend, the Amazon Vlasta. The tribes live as a peaceful community of farmers until raiders attack them, and power-hungry landowners under their plotting chieftains Domaslav and Vrsovec split into rival parties.
