Plot summary
In Lovelyloveville, the Oogieloves are getting ready for a party for Schluufy, their living pillow. It is meant to be a surprise. Windy Window, a magical window, and J. Edgar, a vacuum cleaner, are helping with the arrangements, and Ruffy, the grumpy pet fish, is there too. J. Edgar trips, and the balloons bought for the party come loose and drift off. They were the only five magical balloons left in Lovelyloveville, and the Oogieloves and Ruffy have to fetch them. Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Its $445,000 opening weekend took the record for the lowest opening of a film in 2,000 or more theaters from Freestyle Releasing's Delgo, and its $206 per-theater average is the second worst for a widely released film.
- Braxton really did have a severe cold when she recorded the singing voice for "Ode to Adelaide (The Scratchy Sneezy Cough Cough Song)", and the sneezes she performed were real; the cold left her voice deep and not kid-friendly, so it was pitch-shifted higher.
- After seeing Madea Goes to Jail in a theater, where audience members shouted out advice to the characters on screen, Viselman was partly inspired to create a children's film in the vein of Teletubbies with an interactive aspect.
- The 86-year-old Leachman explained that she got through the movements for her song by perseverance, and that the dancing influenced her to get back into exercising after fifteen years of not doing so.
