Plot summary
Ethan and Sophie are married and see a therapist, who asks each of them to play a note on a piano and then tells them he hears a disconnection between them. He suggests a couple's weekend at a secluded estate, saying that couples he sends there come back renewed. Sophie wants to trust and forgive Ethan, but the two cannot agree on how to get there. At the estate the grounds are beautiful and empty, and they are still awkward with each other. Ethan explores the property and finds no one home, then comes upon a guest house whose book holds comments from past guests about how wonderful the place is.
