Did you know?!Facts and trivia about The Murderer Lives at Number 21 (1942)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Both Pierre Fresnay and Suzy Delair found Henri-Georges Clouzot a demanding, even violent director on the film. Delair said he slapped her to get performances out of actors and slapped others as well; Fresnay said he worked relentlessly, with a taste for violence he never tried on Fresnay.
- The Belgian writer Stanislas-André Steeman, whose story the film adapts, was unhappy with how Henri-Georges Clouzot had handled it and their previous collaboration, The Last of the Six (1941).
- Clouzot moved the story's setting from London to Paris and wrote Wens and Mila Malou, characters from his earlier screenplay Le Dernier des six, into the script.
