Plot summary
The Kiamichi Beast is said to roam the mountains of southeastern Oklahoma, and an expedition goes into that country to bring back proof that it exists. A Bigfoot expert and a Bigfoot hunter are the men on the trail. The locals will not walk into the woods after dark, and the howls that come out of the trees unsettle those who hear them. New material from the trip ties the creature to the Ouachita Mountains. The beast is described as a Bigfoot, and in the accounts told about it, it raided camps and took children, the stories reaching back more than two hundred years to a time before Oklahoma was a territory.
