Plot summary
A scientist who has aligned himself with the Axis of Evil sets a plan in motion to bring down the United States, using EMP blasts, a gas that turns people into zombies, and the Z-Rex, a bio-engineered undead dinosaur built to kill. When an EMP asteroid strike hits, a hard-boiled militia squad and a group of tech-nerd college students are stranded in the desert. The two groups, who have nothing in common, end up trapped together inside a labyrinth compound. The Z-Rex is hunting them, and the squad and the students have to find a way to survive and to stop the rest of the scientist's plan to toxify the world.
