Plot summary
Journalist Mike Boettcher and his son Carlos carry cameras rather than weapons in Afghanistan. They are embedded with United States Army soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division, whose mission goes into the Barawala Kalay Valley in Kunar Province, one of the country's most hostile valleys. The plan is three days in the field; the fighting lasts nine. The film won the Chairman's Award at the San Diego Film Festival in 2014.
