Plot summary
Braddock, a professional killer, and Myron, his young apprentice, have been hired by the crime boss Willie Parker helped convict to bring Parker from Spain to Paris. Four Spanish youths seize Parker and hand him over to the pair. In Madrid they find Harry, an Australian, in an apartment with his Spanish girlfriend Maggie, and Harry gives them the keys to a white Mercedes; Maggie comes along as insurance. Parker had testified against his fellow criminals in exchange for immunity arranged with the police, and he now says he accepted death as a simple part of life. He sows discord between Braddock and Myron as they drive toward the French border.
