Plot summary
Former college friends Sid, Kira, and Harris reunite for a funeral and a night of drinking. When the bars close, they climb into Crescent View Cemetery to say their goodbyes, and Sid comes across an ornate black envelope tucked behind the flowers on a grave. The poem inside urges whoever reads it to be joyful and to dance on the graves, and the three of them, drunk, do it. Odd visions and sounds then follow them home. Kira is attacked and her house is wrecked, fires break out around Sid, and Harris and Allison are frightened in theirs. Vincent Cochet and Frances Culpepper, a pair of investigators, tie the disturbances to a curse the dance set loose, with three spirits now attached to them.
