Plot summary
Two former prisoners, Vic and Danny, prepare a flat before they bring Alice Creed there. They strip her, gag her and cuff her to a bed, wearing jumpsuits and ski masks themselves, and photograph her. They dress her in a tracksuit, pull a hood over her head, and leave to get rid of the three sets of clothes and send the pictures to her father with a demand for money. Vic keeps Alice cuffed, refusing to release her even so she can use the toilet, and mocks Danny for being less calm than he is. Left alone with her, Danny guards the room while Vic goes to make his preparations.

- The film was shot on the Isle of Man, largely over four weeks and in chronological order, and Arterton insisted on being handcuffed to the bed even when she was not being filmed, to help her performance. She joked that, because she can be quite the chatterbox, the crew used the gag prop to stop her chatting on set.
