Plot summary
The opera house closed after singer Lorraine Sedgewick was murdered in her dressing room. Years later, high school student Kate, haunted by nightmares, learns she is Lorraine's daughter. Her best friend Monica persuades Kate to help restore the building, and they join classmates Cheryl 'Walnut' Webber, Marty, George, Ashley and Taylor under teacher Ms. Gibby. During the orientation, a stage light falls and nearly hits Ms. Gibby. Owner Mr. Caruthers claims the opera house is haunted by Lorraine, which upsets Kate. After Ms. Gibby leaves, the teenagers stay behind, eat pizza, drink beer, and explore the murder scene. Kate finds fresh blood and has a vivid vision of her mother's death. Monica comforts her, but the next morning a clown-costumed killer begins targeting the group.
