Plot summary
A crew of bounty hunters corners Riddick on U.V. 6, a frozen planet, and he makes their leader, Toombs, name the source of the information on him. The answer is New Mecca, on Helion Prime, where Abu al-Walid, an Imam Riddick rescued five years earlier, now lives. Abu al-Walid believes the Necromongers will come for Helion Prime next. The Necromongers are religious fanatics who cross the stars drawing all human life into their ranks and killing those who resist; the Lord Marshal leads them. Aereon, an Air Elemental, thinks Riddick may be a Furyan, from a warrior race long believed extinct, and able to stand against the invasion.

- Judi Dench was performing at Haymarket Theatre when Diesel made his offer. She recalled that he sent a bouquet of flowers so big they could not fit up the stairs to her dressing room or into the corridor, and then asked if she would be in his film. She said yes.
