Plot summary
2024 marks a hundred years since the Causeway opened between Singapore and Malaysia. The crossing joins the two countries, and the film follows characters from different periods, beginning in the early 1920s. Hedwig Aroozoo and her family flee Johor during World War II. Men in the film see British forces blow up the Causeway. Other characters include K. Kalyani, Philip Carlyle Marcus, Agnes Beatrice Danker, Percival Frank Aroozoo and Petronilla Mary Kesslar.
