Plot summary
Speaking from the afterlife, Mary Shelley possesses Ida, a woman in 1936 Chicago, and through her tells a story she could not finish in her own lifetime. In a trance, Ida publicly airs the crimes of the boss Lupino, and his men Clyde and James pull her away; she falls down a staircase and dies. Frank, the creature made by Dr. Frankenstein, has spent a century alone. He seeks out Dr. Euphronious, a scientist working on reanimation, and asks her to make him a companion. The two choose Ida's body and bring her back to life, though her memory does not return with her.
