Plot summary
Paul Barnell runs a failing travel agency in Alaska and is heavily in debt. His wife, Margaret, has what appears to be Tourette syndrome, and he is trying to find a cure for her. A body turns up in the dumpster outside his office, left there by professional hitmen, and Paul sees a way out: his brother Raymond is missing, and the life insurance policy pays only when there is a corpse. Paul stages a disfiguring animal attack on the body and presents it as Raymond. The local police accept the identification. Ted Waters, the insurance agent handling the claim, is not convinced, and he wants to move to the lower 48 with his girlfriend Tiffany. The hitmen want the body back as proof for their payment.
