Plot summary
A young woman in Argentina during the 1970s seeks a clandestine abortion at a clinic, but she has passed her fourth month and the doctor will not perform it. The doctor proposes an alternative arrangement: she will sell the baby to a client, and the woman may live in her home until the child is born. The two women's disturbed personalities become entangled in a strange and dangerous relationship.
