Plot summary
On the edge of a small beach town in Chile, four priests live in a house apart from their neighbors. The Catholic Church sent them into this quiet exile to atone for alleged sins and crimes, among them child abuse and the taking of babies for adoption. Hermana Mónica, a former nun, supervises the house and their daily routine, and the men are kept away from the townsfolk, allowed out only in the early morning and late at night. Breeding a racing dog and entering it in competitions is their one hobby. The routine is disturbed by a fifth priest, a man with a history of child abuse, and a victim of his follows him to the town. Then a crisis counselor arrives from the Church.
