Trailer

Plot summary

Julia Streak has been struggling, and a night job as a security guard at a grand apartment complex that stands empty is how she hopes to support her daughter, Clara. Dixon Boothe hires her and introduces her to Dennis Cooper, the only other guard there, a paraplegic who has worked the building since it opened and who greets her rudely. On her rounds Julia hears whispering from Room 441, which a locked door keeps shut, and Cooper says the room was left unfinished. A homeless man named Jim tries to come in, and while Cooper turns him away, Julia lets him stay if he promises not to wander.
