Plot summary
Servais Mont is a freelance photographer who takes compromising photos. He becomes fascinated by Nadine Chevalier, an actress who appears in cheap soft-core movies. She is married to Jacques Chevalier, a collector of film photographs. Hoping to help Nadine, Servais borrows from loan sharks to put on a stage production of Richard III and casts her in a part. Her feelings pull her toward Servais, while her obligations hold her with Jacques.
