Plot summary
Spring break is coming, and Teresa Brigger, a mathematics graduate student, plans to spend it studying rather than celebrating. Her friend Bruno has other ideas and brings her to a gathering, where Rick, a friend of Bruno's and an old love interest of Teresa's, is among the guests. Gloria, a woman who resembles Teresa, is held hostage by Mooney and Titus, two crooks who answer to Carl, and passes the time pestering them and swimming in the pool. She is to be traded in a ransom deal with her brother Michael and his associate Wheeler for the earrings she wears, which hide holographic plans for a confidential NASA space program. The trio then decides to find a young woman who looks like Gloria so the deal can go through.
