- J'me sens pas belle was shot entirely in the chronological order of its scenes, a rarity in cinema, where scenes and actors are normally grouped by shooting location; simple sets and a short story made it possible.
- The film is a single-location piece in which only the two lead characters appear on screen; other characters are played by actors lending their voices to phone calls, the intercom and the neighbours.
