Plot summary
Shot during three August 2023 shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the movie condenses the Eras Tour into a single theatrical experience. The concert is organized into ten acts, each corresponding to a different stage of Taylor Swift's recording career. She performs more than 40 songs backed by her band, backup singers, and dancers. The staging includes large props, costume changes, and choreography tailored to each act. Rather than a documentary, the film is a direct capture of the live show, without interviews or behind-the-scenes material. It includes most of the tour's set list.

- Taylor Swift's Eras Tour film was able to be produced, released and promoted during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike because the union gave it special approval as a non-AMPTP production. SAG-AFTRA chief negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland said Swift would only do it "the right way under a union contract".
