Taylor Swift
Biography
Taylor Swift is an American singer-songwriter whose career began in country music and later moved through pop, indie folk, and other styles. After joining Big Machine Records in 2005, she made her debut with Taylor Swift (2006) and Fearless (2008); singles such as Love Story and You Belong with Me crossed over to pop radio. Fearless won the Grammy for Album of the Year. She wrote Speak Now by herself, and Red brought electronic styles. The synth-pop album 1989 (2014) yielded Hot 100 chart-toppers including Shake It Off, Blank Space, and Bad Blood. She released the indie folk albums Folklore and Evermore. Her screen work includes voice acting in The Lorax (2012), a role in Amsterdam (2022), and the documentary Miss Americana (2020). The Eras Tour produced Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (2023), the highest-grossing concert film of all time. Her honors include fourteen Grammy Awards and a Primetime Emmy, with a record four wins for Album of the Year.
