Plot summary
Michel Mortez travels around France to host a radio quiz show he created twenty-five years ago, and the program has made him a famous voice among ordinary French listeners. Rivetot, his assistant and technician, goes with him every time. On the air Mortez plays a playful don Juan, and that is the version of him the audience knows; Rivetot is the only one who has seen the man beneath it. The program is canceled. Rivetot receives the news, and he delays telling Mortez as long as possible, letting the tour and the broadcasts go on.
