Plot summary
People of different ages and backgrounds, from college students to a former NFL player, describe taking stimulants prescribed for ADHD. Jasper Holt, a college senior, has been on Adderall since he was diagnosed with ADHD at six, and is trying to lower his dose. Delaney, a college junior, says she needs the drug to keep her life in order, since her parents could not afford test tutors. Eben Britton, a former NFL player, used the medication to enhance his performance and handle the pain of his injuries. Blue Williams, an artist manager, takes the drug as an adult on days when his schedule is full. Parents describe changes they see in their children, and health professionals talk about the drugs' history and their own views.
