Plot summary
Roemello Skuggs and his brother Raynathan sell drugs in Harlem, in the neighborhood called Sugar Hill, and they work for Gus Molino. Their mother, Ella, dies of an overdose, and their father, A.R. Skuggs, a musician who uses drugs, is shot and survives. Roemello tells his girlfriend Melissa that he means to quit dealing and begin a new life with her. Raynathan, who is frightened of leaving the trade, objects, and the Mafia steps in.
