Plot summary
Guy Stone's studio sells him to the public as America's most eligible bachelor, while in private he is gay and picks up one-night stands. A fellow actor, Freddie Stevens, known for playing Captain Astro in serial pictures, photographs Guy leaving a gay bar and threatens to expose him, hoping to take the lead in Ben-Hur for himself. Guy's agent Jerry arranges a wedding to bury the scandal: Guy marries Sally, the studio head's secretary, in a ceremony staged with fanfare for the press. Sally is a devoted fan of Guy's films and has no idea the marriage is not real.
