Plot summary
The film asks why the death of Steve Jobs moved so many people around the world who had never met him. It follows his story from a suburban house to zen temples in Japan to the chief executive's office at Apple, and gathers accounts from friends, colleagues and journalists who knew him at different stages of his life. They describe a man admired as a genius and remembered as a tyrant. The film also looks at the history of the Apple Macintosh, the 1984 Super Bowl advertisement and the keynote address where Jobs introduced it, and at the iPod and the iPhone and what those products have meant for human interaction and isolation.
