Plot summary
Francesco and Marta are husband and wife and run a small design company in Rome, where their marriage has lost the meaning it once had. Anita, Francesco's aunt, has died in Istanbul, and he travels there to sell the property she left him. The family who managed it for Anita greet him with hospitality, though they worry about what comes next for them, and their son Mehmet is keen to show the guest around. The property holds a derelict hamam, a Turkish bath, and Francesco decides to restore it and open it to the public.
