Plot summary
Jonathan Dade is a novelist, and he and his wife Addie live in a large house far from anyone else. Their son Thomas, who was three, died in an accident, and neither of them can forgive themselves. Their marriage has suffered. One night a woman named Rachel arrives at their door, saying her car broke down and masked people have been following her. Jonathan and Addie let her stay. Intruders in gas masks and hoodies soon enter the house.
