Plot summary
Pasha, the most valuable substance known, draws two pirate crews. The five women of the Sol Bianca are after it, and a rival vessel is chasing the same cargo, so the women plan to rob the thieves: Feb, April, June, Janny and May. The raid works, the rival pirates lose their haul, and their captain does not take his defeat lightly. Before the authorities lead him away, he leaves machine-eating worms in the Sol Bianca. The vessel stalls in jumpspace with its systems failing, and June is as ill as the ship; none of the five can tell what is wrong with her.
