Plot summary
Joe Denton spent six years in prison for attacking district attorney Phil Coakley, an assault committed while he worked for the mob. He moves in with his parents. His ex-wife threatens to press charges if he contacts their daughters again. Lieutenant Pleasant, a corrupt officer, orders Denton to kill mob boss Manny Vassey, who is dying and has found religion, and promises to help Denton renegotiate the settlement with his ex-wife in return.
